There are some places in the world which live on their ancient culture and are so *proud* of their age old temples and stuff…madurai..is one such place..
i had gone there for some quiz.. and as soon as we arrived the ppl there took us for some trip throughout that place.. first we went to some doll making industry, u know..the place where ppl make dolls and stuff(:S).. a guide dude was explainin to us how ppl make dolls there..now wait a goddamn minute.. do i give a goddamn shit abt how a bunch of jobless dudes make dolls and sell it to them?NO..am i so damn *interested* and *proud* of my states “tradition” and “culture”..NO.. the worst part was a bunch of guys frm b’lore..like there was this guy whose name i dont quite remember..v’ll just call him the over-enthusiastic b***d(remember my manifesto?)…he was like all over the place, even the guys makin the dolls weren that intrested in tht stuff..this guy askd more questions to them than what my history teacher wud ask me or sumthn..well seriously, i see these stupid dolls everyday in pondy bazar..i dont hav to go to some godforsaken remote village to see them..and he’s like..”aren’t u intrested in these crafts”..well are u? if anyones intrested in these things..hes either a terminally ill patient not having anythn worthwhile to do or the founder(and the sole visitor) of dakshin chitra or sumthn..he askd so many questions, even the guide askd him to shut the hell up…and then they took us to the temple, another example of our *tradition* and *culture*..when i go to a temple, i pray and come back..but what do these guys do? they take me to every inch and corner explainin the historical significance of everythin frm uncarved erotic scuptures of some indian goddesses to dead trees and mice in the temple, and that temple was like a city..no..im not exaggeratin..it was as huge as the vatican city and it took us some 3 hours to see it..and does the over-enthusiastic b***d shut his mouth atleast here? no..he keeps crapping about every piece of stone he ever comes across.. like, it wont take me some 2 seconds to ask him to stfu..but these kinda morons dont take it well…
